one eyelash at a time, or a single prim per lid?
single prim would be hollow, pathcut(the one near the bottom), torus with a texture...
one-at a time, you could probably use the above, and add a large regular cut(the near the top), to thin it out to a single lash width.

ah well I was just wondering if there was something special needed that would be different then typical building...
I can do with one prim per lid, per eye.... already have the texture completed...

with a bit of texture magic you could actually do it with a single torus per eye, part of the torus would intersect the eye, and the center portion of the lashes would need to go farther out, but it becomes much harder for potential customers to adjust them to their own shape settings.
