Does anyone have a 80x80x80 megaprim ?

Salt does not seem to have one (It seems to have most other sizes around that range)

I only need it to access the range of something.

Thanks :D

Piggie

You should know by now thats a Product wanted not a building tip question!

Anyway, I have 80x80x1, 80x40x40 or 40x40x40 if they are of any use.

Aplogies.

My mistake. Have never used that section of the forums and I was in a "Building frame of mind"

Again, Sorry for the incorrect posting.

Thanks for the offer, will be in touch :)

I suspect the Zwagoth Megaprim Packs will have one. They certainly seem to have sizes that Salt doesn't report when I look for megaprims.

You can read the inventory of the inworld megaprim packs and copy just the size you want into your inventory. You probably don't want to have all the individual items in your inventory.

There is an 80 x 80 x 80 in the set that I made (Free on xstreet-sl, over 300 sizes). Sending the 80M cube to you in-world now.

Ponk, Ceera says she gave him one two posts above yours. I also gave him that 80x80x80, along with the complete Ceera set, so unless Piggie deletes the two 80^3 and Ceera's box-o-megas, Piggie is set for life with regard to 80^3s.

Based on chat, I'd say Piggie had looked before asking.

The "let me Google that for you" link is not very useful; there's a bunch of links to sculptie lava, and links to boxes of megaprims, and such, many of which aren't free and which don't all include a complete set of sizes. The question was about a specific size, not about where to find sets of megaprims. The system for describing the size of megaprim is not consistent, so a simple Google search for "80x80x80 megaprim" can't be assumed to work out, because that could also be described as <80.00, 80.00, 80,00>, to use Winter Ventura's naming system as an alternate example. If you could use something like true regular expressions in Google, such that you could do a search for something like (megaprim OR "huge prim" OR "giant prim";) AND *80*80*80* or some such, that might work ok. Of course Google would probably offer you two results for "huge prime" which since Google does that aggravating thing all the time, over and over and over, just might be the straw that breaks your mind's back and sends you out into the streets twiddling your lips saying " rubber baby buggy bumpers" over and over while animated cuckoo birds fly around your head saying "Cuckoo! Cuckoo!" in an endless loop.

I spent a long time looking for that 80 x 80 x 80, and it occurred to me that an alt with all the thousands of individual sized megaprims expanded in its inventory, not boxed away unfindable, might be worthwhile, so I did create one, and so far I have Winter Ventura's set unpacked and about 20 of the Salt Nodes unpacked. This alt is named Megaprim Guardian, and I already accidentally posted here using that alt on some matter unrelated to megaprims. I wish the forums would show you the name you are signed in on right next to the word "Submit".

I suppose one could stick all of the individual megaprims into one object and write a search system that would take a chat line of "80 80 80" and do a properly wildcarded out search such that it would find 80x80x80 and <80.00, 80.00, 80.00> and such, or perhaps rename all the objects such that they have a consistent naming system.

Is there a way to have the SALT hud search not just the SALT nodes but also the Ceera pack and the WV pack and so on?

I really should make an index notecard for my megaprim sets, and for the other sets that I got from other creators. When I made my 300+ size set, I was making various permutations as fast as I could, with the time available to me. I did sort them into classes, such as those oriented to work well for cylinders, as opposed to those oriented for rings, tubes and torii. But I didn't make a full index.

I keep my own set in a box, with the categories in their own boxes within that. When I need something to make torii, for example, I pull out the set, rez the boxes within, and then rez and look at the contents of the one I think will have what I need. I don't copy that set to inventory unless I need it.

I don't actually use megaprims very often, so I haven't bothered with the SALT HUD or other ways of organizing them. So far, at least. I probably should, eventually.

Oh god yes, Ceera, a comprehensive list would be a great help! Looking thru the contents of some of those mega boxes freezes me on "Loading" for so long it makes me want to rip out my RL, non-prim hair!

By the way... can someone explain to me why SALT can find some megaprims but not others? I thought it was searching everywhere in world but apparently I am not understanding right, and we still need to lug around boxes of boxes of megas?
