I'm going to release most of my land in the southwest corner of blue. I made a huge mountain on it since you people keep complaining that the land is all flat and featureless. Here's your chance to live among the clouds :p
If you're interested in getting some of my land please reply or IM stating approximately how much you want. I'm not charging anything for it, I release, you claim, no strings attached :)

LOL!
When hell freezeth over :)
No I'm not quitting, I just decided to give up on the project I had going on there for various reasons :)
Basically I want to go on vacation. Roam the land, see the sights, attend events, meet new people... after leading or otherwise being involved with an inordinate amount of large-scale projects I'm kinda burned out. Sometimes SL started to become more work than fun and as I always say, if you're not having fun here you're doing something wrong.
I want to try and recapture my SL "youth". When I was in beta all I ever did was fly around and chat. For the longest time I basically didnt know how to build or script, and the "glorified chat room" SL is sometimes accused of being was for me its major strong point.
I havent been out of blue that much, there's a truckload of people I love and havent been able to spend any time with lately (Hi Cori, Hi Bhodi, Hi Pirate and Mark, Hi everyone else that is right now feeling horribly offended at not being mentioned ;) ) so I wanna focus on being free to do whatever I feel like at the moment. As long as it's fun :)
So without further ado,
FREE LAND! COME AND GET IT BEFORE I CHANGE MY MIND! :p
Thank you :)

If you can afford to *claim* 1/4th of a sim, by all means, please do, and feel free to resell at a higher price.
I said I was releasing it, not selling for a dollar or anything like that. I'm not out to lose money ya know :p

Eggy come visit me in Jessie on one of your tours!
I moved from Tehama because the prim usage was about 100%.

I don't have much up yet but I'd chat away! :)

Yeah - I was wondering who had flat-topped the mountain. Then again, the terraforming tools aren't overly precise so maybe you didn't mean to do that, I don't know.

I wish I had taken a 'before' shot though, it was a cool peak.

Glad you guys could afford it, but now I have to consider whether looking at a 90-degree plane of smeared terrain texture is worth it. (Since the mountain is right on the sim border, and the land was only bought on the blue side the raised land difference is so extreme the texture just stripes something awful on the gray side.)

Oh well.

I'll be releasing some more land on the north side soon. It's about 1/32 of a sim if anyone's interested.

North central area, right next to Tiger Crossing's hole. Behind the washington monument.

Looking at the mountain from the Gray side is a bit like looking at Half-Dome. Maybe we can get a scree slope at the base and some rock climbers bivouacked halfway up! :D

Yeah, I noticed it did resemble Yosemite a bit from the gray side and the texturing look horrid.
I trimmed the top off a bit so it actually have a useable flat bit to build on (without creating funky looking platforms shooting out from the mountain.)
Now all I have to do is figure out what exactly to build on it. :)

My neighbor and myself have found that sledding down it or rolling large physics enabled objects is a lot of fun.

The slope really works well. I'd be disappointed if you didn't try to leverage that a little bit.

SKI JUMP!

hahaha.

Welcome to Alondria's skiing resort, conveniently located on top of Mount Eggy in the southwest corner of Blue :D
Hey, get Chris to give you a copy of his snow particle script! And plant some trees :)

Trees? Heh... you probably just want to see people smack into them!

(Hell I know I would)
