Is there a way of having a preview of or sculptis without uploading them? I mean, see them on a avie to see if the sizes and details are correct

You can import the SL avatar meshes into Wings, but that wouldn't show you how something fit on your customized avatar. If you simply want to avoid the upload charge, you can use the beta grid.
