rotating objects axis is missing

hey i was wondering if anybody knows how to get the axis when rotating objects while building. the axis had disappeared and mean i cannot snap my objects to it.

Hold control.

When you're dragging an axis, move your mouse away from it and it'll start snapping to the increments.

u may have to change your view position to see the grid while in rotation. if viewing from the side for example u may have to change your view point to looking from above then the grid is visable.

Tick "Use Grid" on the Edit pane - or are you talking about something else?
