I'm starting a build in one of the new winter sims, and I'd really like for it to have a winter ski resort feel. I wish I could be less vague, but wood siding, roof textures with snow, etc, are the kinds of things I'm talking about.
Can anyone point me to textures like this, or just to good SL texture resources in general?

With a little Photoshopping, some of the wood textures on this site may be useful: http://astronomy.swin.edu.au/~pbourke/texture/Resize them to 512 x 512 and save as tga to cut down on lag. Jpegs can be problematic in SL. To make snow that matches the snow in the new sims, just take a snapshot of the ground. Put pieces of the snapshot on a layer above whatever roof texture you end up using and play around with blending options to make it look like it belongs there. This is all assuming you have Photoshop or a comparable imaging program, of course. If you don't, either get it or hire someone (like me ) to do your texturing. Just kidding about hiring me, btw. I've got too many projects on my plate right now. I'd be happy to offer free advice though if u need.
