Strange Physics!?!
Ive been workin on some projects, and the most fun physicsproject was a Tribuchet. Now, the problem is this...
The holder for all rocks, avatars etc keeps making this bouncing stuff so you cant have objects lyin still on it. Also there are this annoying thing where the rocks, balls etc are falling through the holder.
The only way i have found to fix this was to at everytime edit the holder by some small settings like 1% size or what have you.
But i dont really like to go in and change things. Ive tried todo this in script when reloading the Tribuchet, but that wont work.
Is this a bug or is there something i should know about that could fix this.. special shape on the holder etc!?.
The holder i use is a sphere cut in half and hollowed.

isnt there some issues about unaccurate collision detection on hollowed objects?

lol Lordfly Yeah, I've pretty much given up on doing anything that uses anything more than the most basic physics and collisions are out of the question. Collisions in SL at the moment know nothing of the Law of Energy Conservation, two physical prims sitting right next to each other colliding can create enough energy to explode at a high rate of speed. (I'm suddenly reminded of my physical windchime experiment/catastrophy =P) So yeah, wait on Havok 2, coming soon or whenever the Lindens feel like it
