Folks, I Am by no means a Builder as Far As SL GOes. I Did However spend 15 years both Filming and Promoting for carnivals . I Know the right way to set up a park.
You cant just go handing out parcels and say you build this and you build that .
Basically The big Stuff GOes on the outside and the Games go near the center. Certain stuff dosent belong in a theme park and certain things do. If you Just go Plopping things down without planing It wont work . Before ONE Parcel is handed out Linden should have a PLan in hand at least a basic one . Then the Park will Succeed or else it Wont .
I would Like to see this succeed. And hope it does . But I Just dont have the building skills to make it happen.
Prim Limits : 400 Prims wont cut it for a coaster . Perhaps some of the rides can but not the big stuff .

Hey Reg, are you going to apply? This sounds like the right spot for your holo project - no height taxes! And as far as your comments - YOU plan it then.

Re: Thoughts For the park

A certain amount of space planning would be good, but I think the park is going to have some perennial favorites and some areas in a continual state of change. The opportunity to see new rides, games and displays will keep us going back and ultimately alllow everyone a chance to participate in the park. You can make a pretty big coaster with 400 prims. You dont need to have actual support pillars and stuff. Prims can be 10 meters long, and the coaster tracks could be made like a monorail, cylinders for flat sections and toruses for curves. You could build the "cars" with a single prim but that would suck. You could probably do a real pretty car with less than 10 prims though.

Even the newer RL coasters dont have much in the way of support pillars, so you could make it quite realistically seem to float on air. An "old style" wooden coaster would eat prims no matter how you did it. From: someone Originally posted by Eggy Lippmann You can make a pretty big coaster with 400 prims.
