Hey all, I'm a new addition to the Zbrush community, and I'm having a really good time learning the program, but I do have a noob concern that maybe you can help me with. Is there any exporter out there, or is there a technique you can share that will enable me to keep the detail I place on my Zbrush Sculpts? I understand that SL can only render so much, but I've seen many other sculpt creations in SL that are super detailed, but don't seem to express the same limitation...once again, I am a noob filled with beans and spunk so any help would be appreciated, thanks!

A few threads down is the discussion for Sculpty Maker for Zbrush by 2K Suisei, which will do exactly what you want if you are on a PC.

The plug in does not works for Macs; so if you are on one, what I do is create a sculpty sphere in Blender with Domino Marama's scripts, export as .obj, import that into zbrush and do my sculpting, export that as an.obj back into Blender and bake my sculpt uv map.

Whatever platform you are on, I'd highly recommend looking at Vlad Bjornson's video tutorials for zbrush at his website http://www.shiny-life.com/. They are very informative and entertaining :)

No matter how much detail you put into your model, SL is going to compress it down to a 64X64 pixel map. Most of the detail comes from the texture you put on the sculpty.

Bake some shadowing onto your build in Zbrush. First get "Material Baker by David Ikeda Version 1.0" and put it in the plugins folder of Zbrush.
Find it here http://www.davidikeda.com/zscripts/materialbaker.html

Vlad Bjornson has a 26 minute video called "Part Two: Tutorial Texturing" that will show you exactly how to use it to make your sculptys POP.
