I am still confused about the group settings on an object.
I have a building and when I bought it the group propertiy was set to whatever group I had set on myself at the time. I changed this with the SET button to the group I required it set to. What does this do or allow as below it there is also group tick box for "share to group". What does that do. Also a deed to group. What effect will that have and what will be the advantage of deeding it. Do I need to deed it for others to edit.

I don't think just having the group set does anything...I think..

but sharing with group will now allow anyone in the group to move/modify that object.

I try to make anything I put on my group land, shared with that group. So if I am not on the group can still move/edit it as needed.

Having an item set to group does nothing but associate your group name with the object.

Checking the "share with group" box will allow anyone in that same group to move, edit, modify the object and it's contents.

Deeding to group makes the object group property, which basically means that when one is sold, the money goes straight to group and is divided up between all members of the group.

Hope that helped! :)

doesn't setting an object to a group make it easier to sort your objects from foreign objects on group owned land? i kinda thought that was the point anyway.

Yup, as long as the land is set to the same group. :)
