ADVERT !

Are you looking to live in whatever parts of the new snow Sims are sold for habitat?

Lets hope PLEASE we can keep these sims wonderfully natural and in keeping with the lovely terrain. If you are contemplate getting a designer or builder to make a house or lodge in a snow Sim why not check out the work of a designer who's already made winter landscapes and houses and has textures, ideas and imagination to make suitable houses and surrounding winter gardens..

Go check the Ice Palace I made for Jopy Weber and Rocket Roentgen in Tehama. It's UNIQUE so sorry you can't have one the same style or look... BUT I can make something else for you that suits the Linden Ice and snow, and can add winter gardens which will blend well with these lovely new sims.. or maybe you would like a Japanese mountain house or ski lodge... check out my Mountain Garden House on the Marunogere/Rausch border...

I can tackle small plots or massive estates...and all builds will be sympathetic and add value to the snow sim in natural style. So... want to live in Winter and seeking a designer? who ya gonna call?

Heh, in one of those moods today..sorry!

But seriously, this is great! I'm glad to see others are interested in keeping the theme in the snowy sims.

You're builds are gorgeous! Hope people will comission you, your builds could add a lot to the new sims!

I agree Snakekiss... hopefully people will keep the theme going in those sims and not throw up builds that dont reflect the surroundings.

Of course, if the Lindens would release some of those nice 'winterized' textures they have, it would only help us out! *hint hint*

I think ppl who are buying land there in 6 months are really gonna be sick of winter. Cool idea but i see it getting old.

I don't mind snow as long as I don't have to shovel it;)

I live in Buffalo, NY. We have 2 seasons here, Snow and Other. Other lasts about 3 months. The last thing I want to do is spend them staring at a computer screen full of snow. For me, snow is plenty "old" already. Maybe this has appeal for all the southern SL'ers out there, but I have a feeling most of us "Yanks" will be steering clear of the snow sims.

On the other side of the coin, I'm a southerner. It snows mostly in January where I'm at, usually light dustings and the occasional "heavy" snow, but NOTHING like up north. The sighting of a single snowflake during the winter triggers mass hysteria, cancelling of schools, and raidings on batteries and canned goods at the grocery stores. It's pathetic.

I've lived in Florida too. So keep me away from lush green valleys and beaches lined with palm trees. A wide open, snowy landscape dotted with conifers, blanketed with a wintery mist and capped with frozen mountain peaks sounds wonderful to me ;)

As far as maintaining the beauty of the snow sims I'm in (I'm trying to save money to purchase some land in one,) I'm going to do my best. I'd hate to see stucco houses with spanish tiles or something equally out of place in the middle of snow country. I'd love to have a sprawling, beautiful chalet but I doubt the dollar store will have anything like that :p I'll probably just use a cheap little cookie-cutter cabin for now.
