I just built my first house, I was trying to link it all together (about 150 prims) and I'm getting the cannot link because prims are too far apart error message. How do I correct this, unlink everything and try going a different order?

Also, I would like to set up a rezzer for this house, can anyone recommend to me please. I have looked at a few on Xstreet, but it seems so confusing to me...please help!

If you are getting the "too far apart" message, then if you want everything linked together the only solution is to make a smaller house. There's no way to beat SL's size limit by simply reshuffling the pieces. The answer is exactly what you seem to be interested in anyway ... a rezzer. There are many good ones available. Try Builder's Buddy, which is free and easy to use. You will find it at

For the rezzer, Builder's Buddy is free, and can be found in the Script Library here in the forums. Rez Foo costs L$, but is a great product if you're packaging for commercial sales.

The inability to link it all together is probably because some parts are more than 30 to 40 M apart. The exact max distance is based on a complex formula. The esaiest solution id to link it as two pieces, like the North and South halves of the building, or the First and Second floors... Then use a rezzer to place and position it.

As Ceera says the best solution to the too far apart error is to create your building as logical groups. I have had success before using another method though.

1st TAKE A COPY OF ALL YOU HAVE BUILT so you dont lose all your work if things go wrong.
Even if its not linked you can rez it as a group so long as you are in edit when you rez it again.

Now with your working copy make sure you have everything selected and hold down ctrl +shift and you will get the sizing boxes. Shrink your build until it is less than 30m in any direction. Now try linking it.

This has worked for me several times but is not guaranteed.

when linking always try to make your root prim (last prim selected) one that is central to your build and is on zero rotation.

Hope this helps
