I would like to make a game-show like "wheel of fortune" with 2 or 3 contestants, a host and ofcourse a beautifull assistant In the wheel of fortune (As I can remember) the contestants will play to guess a word. Each turn they spin a wheel to see how much points they got and then they can say a letter (a little like hangman). In the end the winner get's the amount of points payed in $$$ (the exact rules are little too much to write down here, and they could differ from original as well) All this in a game show environment, with place for contestants and viewers etc. The question is if you people would think it's fun. Would there come people to play and is there someone who is willing to host it? I've programmed some small games before (The rings game and the picture puzzle). I have a pretty good idea how to do this all and I'm sure I can. So if there is enough support for It I would like to build this If anybody want to help build the actual stuctures you're welcome... but first I need to know if you people think it's a good idea, and from a linden if I can get some game money when it's finish to pay the winning contestant The game could be played onec a day or so.

A Game object??? I was not planning to use anyone's scripts, object or idea's, I build everything myself So I'll just start building, when It's finished I'll show it to a Linden and I will see if I can get a show on the event calendar... The only problem I see with the game Wheel Of Fortune that only the contestants are suppost to take a guess at the word, but I'm afraid that if people come watch they will say the word too

Mark - sounds good. You definitely don't need Linden "approval" to post to the calendar as it's open to all residents who want to run an event. Liaisons can help you plan and fund an event if you'd like. As for your specific concern re: other folks screaming out letters - my object has a script which only responds to the owner. For example, contestant A says "I'd like a 'k'" and then object owner says "Give me a 'k,'" but if you don't use other people's content....

But the viewers could say the sentence, and the idea is that the contestants figure out what the sentence is on their own.

With instant messaging available that is going to be very hard to achieve.

yes, there's definitely a trust element involved... i haven't had too much trouble running trivia events - people generally have fun and only respond when it's their turn.

Ok I may have to go about a name change.... I'm a HE. Ama is short for Amaprotu, which doesn't make any more sense but gets confused for a girl less often. Yeah I was responding to this: "But the viewers could say the sentence, and the idea is that the contestants figure out what the sentence is on their own." I was just saying that even if you got everyone else to be quiet, or get ignored, the audiance can still help. I can write a script that listens to 3 or 4 specific people fairly easily. Or in your case, I could help you write one if you needed the help.
