I love checking out what you all have built. SL has some amazing builds to show, but I (as well as many others, I'm sure) don't have all the time I'd like to explore.

So, post *pics* of your fav builds here. If you can, include the location so we can check them out!

I first saw Jake Cellardoor's waterfall on a guided tour, maybe last June? It is an impressive work and now is surrounded by the beautiful Riverwalk. It is located in Clementina and well worth the visit. Check out the areas behind the falls too!

Thanks Hadrian. It's actually Annie Butler and Bobby Dayton's home, which I'm building for them. It's almost done, and, if I may say.. my fav. build to date.

Lovely thread. I'm going to pick three builds that I particularly like starting with Hooker Street (Sistiana 81,203)by Azrazael Maracas.

I think there are few better examples of what can be achieved with a small parcel of land. Detail is everything and this build just screams that. Coupled with the brilliant BeaBear hotdog stand beside it, you can only hope that more land owners in the area follow this urban 'downtown' theme.

It just needs a Starsky & Hutch Car parked up, and Hooker Street would be perfect.

My second choice is close by my home in Taber. It is BuhBuhCuh's memorial to his father at Welsh 215,139.

There is something so very dignified about this build and when I discovered it, I did sit awhile there and took a moment to reflect on loved ones I have lost. The clean lines and geometric shapes here mean that the mood changes throughout the day as the light shifts about.

I think it a brave step to bring real world emotion into SecondLife - but the fact that it can be done so well and feels so 'right', only reinforces my belief that this is not a game.

Lastly, I bumped into the following build as I flew around today and just really liked it. It is an office/apartment style build by Tiger Crossing at Miramare 35,192.

I like that it hasn't followed a flat-sided repeat of a square floor, and I particularly like the space created inside the build - the water feature is discrete and understated; the coloured glass a nice artistic touch.

Hey, thanks man. The cartoon house has been fun and ridiculous, and I hope y'all come and visit and party there and have a good time.
Gonna put in a tire swing too.

Some of my favorite places are the Bealiner Diner in Montera and Bea's hot dog stand in Sistiana. Be sure to mouse over everything in those areas, cuz you'll laugh.

Favorite thing is a knocked-over chair behind the diner. Just says "bea hates this chair".

I dunno. Stuff like that makes me larf.

Also, the elvin tree island has some of the most creative usage of organic prims I've ever seen. Very very cool.

You guys all rock.
Don't ever change.

Wow, Jai... One of mine is in the top three? :)

The Hotel in Miramare will be open soon. I just need to finish furnishing the rooms and installing a registration system. For now, It's open to squaters that don't mind that "new prim smell" or the possibility of walls moving. :)

Oh, and this is a good thread to mention that the hotel's lobby has one of those "things to do and see in the area" brochure racks by the door. If anyone would like to advertise a build there, feel free to send me a brochure. Just script it to give a texture and landmark, or a notecard with embedded pictures and landmark when it is clicked. If this thread gets really big, the places featured here would be great candidates for brochures. :)
