This idea had been percolating for a bit but with the advent of 1.2 I think its time is here. (or perhaps even a bit late) I'm looking for donations to start a SecondLife Museum. Not donations in a monetary sense but items with which to make an archive for builds that either dont fit any more or have just been collecting digital dust in your inventory. Any bits of Americana out there just waiting to be re-rezzed? Or how about Venice? Strange things from Welsh? Castles, floating or ground based. And not just buildings but any kind of item, one of my first donations was a two prim Hockey Stick (thanks Stellar ) It dates waaay back... at least in SL terms. Pics would be appreciated as well. Whatever info you want to provide will be presented with the item as well. I'm a lifer, I've got my Acre and I want to preserve all those great things which have inhabited SL. With the advent of 1.2 this will be possible. In fact more predictably possible. I welcome all comments and donations. Thanks, Upshaw Underhill Secondlife Archivist

Good idea, Upshaw. I'll look around and see if I have anything appropriate.

Would you like a self-assembling Original Kazenojin Station-in-a-box?

We have a few Telehoppers, complete with hippo drivers, boxed in the basement somewhere, a 18th century Dutch boatyard, and probably lots of other high-prim items that are not likely to see the SecondDaylight under 1.2. If not under 1.2, they will patiently collect dust until 1.3 - things have changed so often, we'll outlive this one too, I'm sure.
