So, I've been thinking... we have this entire world to run amok in, and barring Jessie, there definitely isn't any sort of sanctioned combat/competition between people.

What if we did the following:

1) Two bases, each on opposite ends of the world (one "north", one "south" for instance). Intricately designed by two teams, with defense in mind. In the center of each base, there is a flag. Damage would be turned on, as would outside scripts, and the "no fly" rule. Teammates would be unable to set these bases as their "home" location.

2) Each team's objective would be to go out and capture the other team's flag by any means necessary. This might include launching projectiles into the base, dropping bombs, espionage, bribery, being sneaky, etc.

3) Once the flag is equipped to a player, they must get it back to the base in one piece... perhaps by using a scripted gun that would "shoot" the flag out of the carrtier's hand, the opposing team could reclaim their flag (because you can't die unless you're on hurted land, and if you're careening through Plum, that's a bit of a problem)

4) if the player manages to get back to the base in one piece, a point is awarded, and the process starts all over.

These games would take days, if not weeks, to accomplish. I imagnie people utilizing scripts to defend their flag... auto turrets, keypad entries, and so on... but also catapults hurling bombs, speed demons shooting down from above, and so on as well :)

Comments?

judging by the lack of responses on this thread, I don't think we could get three teams...

Ooooooooo Im in ^_^ Might be out-of-world for a couple days... prob back in sunday. My fortress would be absolutely impenatrable >:). However, the scripting could be an issue- what about respawning the flag if its dropped outside of 100 M? Might have to wait for object to object IM.. or build a relay. Maybe use one of those multi sim mover things. Just a thought.

Sounds like an interesting idea but how would you prevent the conflict from overflowing the base since it sounds like at least one of them would be outside Jessie? There's also the issue of fighting in the sims between bases unless you plan a touch capture rather than a flag carry capture.

Well, the point would BE to extend combat over the entire world.. although it makes most of it pointless, as most Sims are non-damage enabled.

Perhaps we could work in a way to penalize annoyment of "innocents".
