(the post under loses any sense when we look at the actual conditions of the open lands, and even homesteads, see https://support.secondlife.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=4417&task=knowledge&questionID=5650).
The decision announced by M Linden is NOT similar to several which were proposed, including mine ( /354/13/290886/1.html )
There is however an unclear point remaining.
An owner of 1 openland will have limitations applied to it (a figure of 1/4 avatars, prims or script makes sense). This limitation should avoid the cross-sim lag which plagued several open lands.
But this limitation has no point when one owns 4 openlands, provided they are on the same CPU. In this case, one can manage his 4 openlands as a full sim, and have events or high prim builds on one of them, provided of course that the 4 others are emptyed accordingly.
So I ask that a set of 4 openlands are placed on the same CPU, and the whole set has the same limitations than a full sim, with no per sim limitations. This should even be made automatically or mandatorily.
