Well what can I say? I was so impressed by the new package that Linden has put together I abandoned my open sim today - I'm not paying another cent for it! If I remember rightly my open sim was 40 avs and 3750 prims now i have to pay an extra 80 percent (eventually granted) for the same prims but half the users... Nah..... not for me. Shame lindens you just lost 900 - 1140 ( I would have paid the 95 dollars for the same service) per year.... I know this means little to you but hey I hope I am alone in my thinking. Yes I rented out the open space, no there were no serious server issues and yes I was going to repeat the experience to the point where I had a break even scenario and you would have had a turn over of around 17000 per month but hey I guess we were all kidding ourselves when we thought linden labs were forward thinking..... I will keep my full sim, I like it, ok you will still get the rental on that until you hike the price on full sims after that probably openlife or any of the other grids is stable enough for my purposes (playing music and chat) I really admire a management style that is active and cut n thrust it reminds me so much of the rest of the it industry run by fools that dont know what they are doing. Good Luck For the Future

As you noticed, the protest wasn't pointless, before it we had to pay $125 for the same thing, after the protest we have to pay $125, but with only 20 av's and (potentially) and the scripts (more than today) capped. So it has an effect... on the opposite direction, but it still an effect. Do i have to insert a smile here? Nah...

I will hang on until the July hike to my OSS (Homestead), 8 months is a long time and, honestly, the longest I've stayed on one parcel was 6 months so there is a chance I can move on anyway. I'd like to continue the protest but am unsure as to the best way to do that.

Well, if you are homeless, you might as well spend your sl time protesting I suppose. It will be something to do in sl once you can't shop for things to decorate your sim anymore. We can all gather around the Governor's Mansion to visit with friends and cook our Stone Soup. It's as good a place as any to hang out if you are homeless, isn't it?
