At 27th October, LL announced the new pricing and policy changes about openspace sims.
And they invited us to this forum to discuss about this.
I run real estate business in SL, and pay over 50000 USD tier per year. And 70% of this is for openspace sims.
The previous price changes about private islands(1675 -> 1000) had damaged me alot already. After it i had changed my business model and had converted(100USD fee each) most of my full sims to openspace sims(had to because it was impossible to rent out full sims. Noone told me that renting out openspace sims were "bad" and i warned my customers that they are for light use. And openspace sims have already prim limits, so i saw no problem about it. And i never saw more than 10 people on my openspace sims.).
After the pricing and policy changes at 27th October i dont have much options. Most of my customers(if not all) will refuse to pay 70% more per month. I dont want to convert them to full sims AGAIN. Because i already converted once and it costs 100USD each and i dont know if LL will or wont change their policy about full sims in near future again. I can not take conversion loss again and again. And it is not only conversions loss, it will also take time to find new customers for the new full sims.
As i said i dont have much options but first i must know that if this policy and pricing change is the final decission of LL. I mean yes they have decided, but there is an ongoing discussion on the forum with many replies and over 100000 views. I need LL to talk about these discussions. I need to know if they will do something to soften the effects of this new change. Or if they will step back and solve the "technical" problems with another way.
The uncertainity kills my business. I was getting 1-2 IMs in every 2 days from people asking for land before the announcement but now the IMs stopped. And i have several empty sims and before doing something the things must be clearer.
Now i am really confused, i need LL involved in this discussion thread more.
