Openspace Tour :: Post SLurls Please!

Hi, I'm doing a photography series on Sims that are closing due to this issue with Void/OpenSpace. There are two related groups already on flickr.

I'm looking for a comprehensive list of interesting places to visit and snap a few shots of before they go down. If anyone could help it'd be very much appreciated.

Here is what I've gathered so far, so you can check them out before they go down.

If LL can't appreciate keeping the beauty of these SIMS alive, then we can at least document them before they go and pay our last respects.

Some of these sims don't have much time left in their short span, so please visit them now, it may be the last chance you ever get!

Nearby Sim to Le Village

Go and have a look around Azzurra, there were 13 sims, now there is at least 2 empty parcels per sim, lots of the sims are bare and empty as the residents have all moved. All but one of the 13 sims are due to close down soon.

I get so torn between sadness and rage.

Alas, Linden Labs is just a cold, impersonal business that doesn't lose sleep at night over the loss they cause.

Before I leave mine Im gonna put 3750 linden trees on the land. Just so I can see what it looks like.

Id like to handcuff m linden and drag him around to see everyone of these sims! Grrrrrrrrrrrr- yes heartbreaking and infuriating!!

Guys I know we are all very sad/angy/upset about this.
But there are lots of threads for venting.
I'm hoping we can do the only positive thing that there is left... post SLurls to places that are closing! Help me & others to document and photograph these beautiful sims before they go into extinction! Please! It's much more productive to help do this than to just vent.

I'm devoting as much time as I can to visiting these sims before they go! If you don't get too sad about it, I suggest you guys do, otherwise you might not get to see them again.

Show me, LL, and all the other SLers out there exactly what you're so upset over!

This one and 4 other OS in south of Germania Estate will probably vanish until 1.1.09.

"Germania Atlantico is part of the cluster of Sims Germania. A water oriented area of Second Life grid for those who loves to sail around. Lovely designed Mediterain style island. On the island you will find besides the nice boats an amphitheater area, just nearby the bridge, also a windmill which is on the top of a little hill and it is a nice reference for when you are sailing.

Three of them are going already, but this 4th one is to be gone any day now, whenever the Lindens bother to take it down from my ticket request. Take a photo of the giant statue making water on the land as a statement of what we think of the new policy.

Last night I went and looked at some of these sims and at the flickr pics. For the first time I felt really sad, mostly for the people who have put so much time and effort into making such beautiful creations.

Looks like an awful lot of losses. Hopefully a lot is backed up and can be re-rezzed somewhere in the future. Things like Second Inventory would be going gang-busters with this.

Wonder how many man-hours have gone up in a puff of hard-disk smoke. What a effing waste.
