I am still new (less than one year). So was not around during the previous "uprisings". I know of the March 2008 sim pricing change and know people complained. But I don't remember it to be this vocal. Was gambling ban protests this vocal? How about any past SL-changing events?

The private island tier increase about 2 years ago was worse, I think.. Mostly because LL asked some of the big land owners what they thought before they announced the increase and this was seen as favoritism. Some people knew to stock up on sims to lock in the old tier, some didn't.
Next worst, IMO, was the sexual ageplay stuff. That topic still flares up sometimes and it's one people feel pretty strongly about so it always produces heated threads. Next would be this latest deal. The banking/gambling weren't that bad, I think. I also had a hard time feeling bad for these people (though I'm very, very rarely happy to see anybody get burned) because it was such a long time coming. _____________________
