I was told that If I buy a couple of linden dollars from the site that it would verify me and that I would be able to access the adult stuff on the website.
Is this true?
Can I just buy some linden bucks and be ok? Does it have to be credit card or paypal or does it not matter?

Thanks ahead of time folks. You have to buy linden, OR put payment info on file OR do the age verify. One of the three. You can use paypal or CC to buy lindens from xstreet, or lindenx, or just put payment info on file thru the SL website. If you don't wish to do that, go to the SL website, my account, and age verify.  Then you also have to have the latest viewer, and on the general tab of your preferences, you click pg/mature/adult. hope that helps ~Brie

To check it, find the installation file you downloaded in the first place and look carefully at the name: the version number is listed in the title and it should begin with 1-23. To put 'Payment Info on File', open the SL client and go to 'World > Manage My Account...' which will open your SL Account web page either within the client or within your web browser depending on your settings. Follow the link 'Update Billing Info' in the column on the left and enter your credit card details or do the PayPal thing. Within a few minutes you should be able to buy lindens using the little blue 'L$' button in the top right corner. Otherwise the details are sufficient to identify you as an 'Adult' in-world. |
