Someone asked this in another thread and buggered if I can remember which, but if you ahve 4 OS you can recombine them into one sim for a one-off $100 (I think the original post wanted to know if you could reverse having split one sim into 4 open sims): "Converting Four Openspaces into One Region If you're converting four Openspaces into one normal region, submit a ticket of the Region Issues type with the following information: - The name of the four existing Openspaces to be converted
- The name of the new region
- The estate it should belong to
- Any region-placement details that you wish to pass on.
The four Openspace regions are converted into one standard region. You are charged a conversion fee of $100."

A backdoor for big time land owners. LL doesn't want to hurt them too much I guess. The little people with 1-3 OS sims are of no concern though. They are meant to just abandon their sims, so LL can sell the same product twice.

Just like they had a mall I had products on in their stupid sandbox. Then I told them that they were costing me real money and they were like... Oh, well. You should put code in your vendors that makes them check to see if they're in the beta grid. No... LL needs to pull their heads out of their butts and see it's the little guys that keep coming back and keep their friends coming back with them. If it wasn't for all the little fish this pond would be pretty empty. (Although, to me it looks like it's getting more empty by the day.)

I have several OS sims.. yes i could convert them back to full regions .. but i FLAT OUT REFUSE to pay LL another cent. They have systematically killed me and others like me at every turn. I saved,, bought an island at 1695 USD.. they cut the value to 1000 USD.. making my resell value next to nothing. They FLOOD the land market.. driving prices down BELOW what i paid for my land in 2005.. So again if i sell, i wil not even get purchase price back. Now here comes the OS.. hey lets double the prices and get more money I REFUSE TO PAY LINDEN LABS ANOTHER CENT..
I own 28 sims in SL.. i have NEVER taken one cent out of the game.. i have RE-INVESTED it, purchesed more land.. and did my part in keeping SL economy's running. And for me and people like me.. this is the thanks we get.
NO MORE.. I REFUSE TO EVER INVEST ANOTHER CENT IN LINDEN LABS!!!!!

NO MORE.. I REFUSE TO EVER INVEST ANOTHER CENT IN LINDEN LABS!!!!! Similar story here; I started island rental business 16 months ago. I bought 8 full sims(1675 USD each). rented out them. In 6-8 months they lowered prices to 1000 USD. It hurt(I lost money on my investment). But it was OK, i have had no intention to sell them. So i have tried to continue my business. But with 250 USD openspace sims it was almost impossible to find new customers for my full sims. Then i converted my full sims to openspace sims(paying 100USD each). Then i rented out them(noone told me that renting out openspace sims were "bad" . They already had prim limits, and i warned my renters that openspace sims are for light use. And i never saw more than 10 people on any of my openspace sims. Somehow my business survived. Now i have 40 openspace sims. and now they are increasing the tiers. What should i do to survive again? I dont think most of my customers will accept to pay 66% more monthly. Should i convert my sims again(paying 100 USD each)? What if LL change "policy" on full sims this time? will i convert again and again? If it is a technical problem why dont they put new technical limits on openspace sims? Why they choose to increase prices? I am confused, i dont know what to do.

We did think about converting but other than not trusting LL any further and we feel we have been totally screwed over openspaces, we bought them to have land/water - for scenery and lansdscaping. So yes converting to a full would give us the prim count but that is not what we bought these for in the first place.
