I bought 4 OpenSpace SIMS back when everyone had to buy four at a time and they linked to a regular SIM. I want the OPEN space, and liked the low prim counts. I keep them OPEN, I keep the prim counts low on them. Traffic stays low on them and now because some are abusing them, everyone gets punished.
So theoretically, all four of my OpenSpace SIMs reside on the same server. Why then should they require a radically different fee compared to my 2 regular SIMs.
500USD for 4 OpenSpace SIMs is just too much and I will drop them. I won't bother to sell them or give them away, it's not worth the hassle to wait and pay the elevated tier while I wait for a transfer or sale.
I love my OpenSpace SIMs. I love terraforming them and designing landscapes, but the price change policy is ridiculous, unfair, and impractical.
Punish the ones abusing them or revert them to less useful for the abusers!

the notion of open lands "abuse" was left fuzzy, perhaps purposely. Of course having a night club on an open land was clearly an intentionnal abuse. But while as many avatars as in a full sim was allowed, many people "abused" without being aware of it. The limit I put forward in my balanced proposal /354/13/290886/1.html was based on an obvious technical requirement: as there was four open lands in one CPU, they should share the capacity and have each a quarter of the avs, prims, and scripts of a full sim. But 1/20th as it will be now, it makes no sense.

Not Abusers

Please don't use the term 'abuser' - the majority of people are not abusing but using as they thought they were able to.

We just want an affordable place to live and work. At the price of 75 USD per month (80 something as a renter), my business doesn't have to be successful. A club or store can be more for fun. Sales and tips aren't a neccesity. When LL changed the prim limits and offered open space sims one at a time it became an affordable option. Prim/avatar limits are set. We were never informed we could not use the space/prims as we see fit.

If you are keeping them open the price has not changed for you. The price remains the same for you, but the extra 1875 prims they gave you on each of them 5 months ago they are taking back plus they are taking back 1125 of the ones that came with them originally.
That is fair isn't it?
And btw, the abuse claim is ploy to pit resident against resident, so that you will hate those of us who used the 3750 prims they sold us and not LL. I see it is working well.
