With the world economy as it is the lindens grab for more of your hard earned money.It seems typical of the american business plans to grab as much money as they can.
I can understand no commercial on open sims but a couple or individual using them as thier home does not seem to me to be a very big deal.Last year They dropped prices on everything and forced MANY sim owners to abandon thier sims because everyone bought into the open sim concept. NOW that is no longer a viable way to make a few dollars inworld and those that purchased the open space sims will LOOSE yet again.
They keep sending polls to see if your life here has improved or not well at this point in time it certainly has'nt.
Linden Labs better get thier heads out of the sand. As mentioned earlier the RW economy sucks and people are not going to use thier dwindiling dollars to buy a little space on a computer at the prices they are proposing.I think that this will hurt LL in the long run. And I think badly. They will get a major flood or returned void sims.I know that the wonderful people renting my few opens spaced sims will not be able to afford 125us a month in tier. So I am sure that I will be abandoning my open sims January 1st.
So it seems that LL wants only the rich to use SL.

So it seems that LL wants only the rich to use SL. I have to agree whole-heartedly. They don't pay attention to the polls, though. I wrote complete nonsense in my comments, and once swore them out. Sadly, they see their own money dwindling because the economy sucks. I've seen a swift decline in all my markets. People are holding on to what little money they have and I'm doubting that a lot of people are going to be able to afford let alone want to pay the new tier. *shaking head sadly.* I've seen a lot of abandoned land lately on the mainland. Govenor Linden hasn't been recycling as quick as he said he was going to at one point. But the current state of SL is slow sales, bad economy, and horrible exchange rates. I can remember caching out and 270 lindens made a dollar now it's 282 to 285 to make a dollar. The economy is in the toilet so Linden wants to squeeze every penny from everyone while they can. OpenSim looks better and better everyday. |
