If not now, when? If not us, who?

Thousands of SL residents will suffer under this new LL ruling on Openspace sims. If you are one of them, or know one of them, and they are moral, support them. Write a message to every Linden you can find on search, and IM them a copy of it; put the message in a notecard and drop it in all of their profiles; post the message to this forum, with additional comments; post your message ini Jira; open LL trouble tickets and post your message; find blogs about SL and post your message there again and again.

Define the message and repeat it to all who will listen and to all who will not.

It worked for Gandhi.

Give it a shot.

Hey, great idea. Swamp them so much that they can't get anything done! Flood the forums with so much spam that there's no hope of Jack ever reading one of the few good ideas that have come up! Spam, spam and spam some more the Lindens that had nothing at all to do with this decision or anything with land. Screw them over so badly that they actually go out of business!!

That will teach them.

Hey, the good ideas have already been thought, published, and are extant.

Now it's time to reiterate them to those who don't want to hear them. That's the point, repeat the good ideas to those who have not heard them yet, and to those who have refused to hear them so far.

Did you look up Gandhi on wikipedia yet?

Actually it will. Being quiet is the last thing anyone should do. Quiet means that nothing is wrong. If the whole community speaks out, then it's impossible for it to be ignored.

BTW, you also might want to look up Ho Chi Minh and John Adams.

Exactly.

The only thing worse then someone who speaks out too much against injustice, is one who does not speak out at all.

"Speaking out" is not the same as encouraging people to spam every Linden they can find in search.

"They screwed me so I'll screw them and everybody else" is never a good solution.

This is the adult grid, hon. I've heard of Gandhi before.

And it was sarcasm. I was making fun of your post by trying to make it sound even more ludicrous than you did.

If it's something that effects them and there day to day operations, there likely to resolve the problem much quicker. Now I don't agree with everything people are doing for example targeting Jack Linden alone. One person did not make this choice it was the senior staff as a whole so they all need to feel how there decision is impacting the community.

Actually, I think you missed the point: the powers that be tend to make decisions without consulting the masses; if the masses do not have a unified message that is repeated often enough to others and to the powers that be, it will just be comfortably ignored. A concerted effort to reiterate that which is ignored is not spam.

Did Gandhi use spam? Did Acquino use spam? Did John Adams use spam?

I believe you are confusing technology with a political and rhetorical technique.

Please do some research on this.

Thanks.

No, I understood your point just fine.

It's the same mentality that gets people to blow up supermarkets in the middle east because the military bases are so well defended. The only difference is scale.

Thanks for commenting, but your depth of knowledge is so limited and your background in this field so narrow that your analogies are invalid.

I suggest a return to university, or an autodidactic course of study that will include a bit of reading.

That is, you missed the point completely.

No, I'm saying it's the same "screw everybody that's not-us, regardless of if they're involved. And if some of us get hurt even more, well.. It's for the cause." mentality. The only difference is in scale.

Does anybody on the iteam have anything to do with the price of sims? Of course they don't. Flood them anyway is what he's said. This prevents people who have nothing to do with this stuff from being helped. Those people won't know why they can't find help, they'll just know that all the Lindens are busy.

Pick your favorite non-management Linden and ask them how much they like this idea.

edit: not that it really matters anyway, given the amout of spam he's doing here.. I expect his post count (not to mention his ability to post) will be going down shortly.

Gonna join him in spamming the forums, Sarah? Why should anybody else, regardless of if they're trying to do something aside from complain about Jacks blog post, be able to do anything here at all? What he's doing here is nothing compared to what he's trying to make happen..

Perhaps those non-management Lindens should also exercise their voices? Is not LL a progressive company?

And again, it's obvious that you miss the point. Please do visit these web pages, to at least get a general view of what I'm advocating here:
