I found this for Openlife

Private Cluster Regions. 256x256m (65,536m2), 45,000 Prims limit, custom terraform, parcel subdivision, parcel transfer, custom physics (gravity), estate management.

1 Region

$75 Monthly $145 pre region setup fee

2 Regions

$130 Monthly $145 per region setup fee

4 Regions

$230 Monthly $145 per region setup fee

NEW! No Build Water spaces.

Whole region 0 prim allowance. can be water or archipelago.

$10 monthly (per region) no setup fee

seems with their prices they can affor d even no "technical" problems ?

In all fairness, OpenLife isn't on a par with SL. Yet. It's a great place, but it doesn't offer the range of experiences that SL has to offer, and will not suit those who want to shop for clothing and dance in clubs. It is, however, a great place for pioneers, the adventurous and builders who don't feel the need for a mass market for what they make.

I recommend the alternative worlds for anyone who isn't looking for a pre-made world to be a consumer in. Some of them will get there, and hopefully sooner than later, but right now, it's not for the mall people. If you are happy with little choice in hair styles, skins, clothes, and can do your own thing in a freebie pair of jeans and hair like a lot of others are wearing, then the alternative worlds are for you! Once I got a pair of jeans and some hair that I didn't consider ugly, I went off and started building and never gave another thought to my appearance. If you can do that, by all means, get over to the other worlds and check them out! Pick one or two you think will make it, and start helping build it up!

Hummm, buy a fancy apartment in Manhattan, or a parcel of rocky, barren mountainside in the Ozark Mountains?

SL is Manhattan, with designer clothes, non-human avatar choices, and all that we have come to expect. OpenLife and its ilk is the bare hillside in teh Ozarks. No stores, no economy, Humans only (no atachmets), many things that we take for granted in SL not working at all... In one of the OL grids that I looked at recently, the default suported BasicPhysics engine didn't even support avatar collision with prims, meaning you can't stand on a prim floor, and can walk through all prim constructs like a ghost.

If you are a Pioneer type, you may like the alternative grids. Most SL residents will be very disasapointed by them.

/me agrees wholeheartedly. (^_^)

I've said it before... The crowd is in SL, the stores are in SL, so I'm in SL. (^_^)y

Agreed! The world that I've recently been frequenting is coming on quite nicely. There are stores and shops being built as we speak. There are stores, just few and far in between atm. There is an atm to transfer $L in place, albeit there is a currency conversion. For me, I enjoy watching the development. I wasn't around to see this happen in SL. I came along just about six months before the shoe up your butt bug was fixed....but I digress. I love the blank clean slate presented in the alternate world of my choice and the opportunity to put a little of myself into it....and the customer service, oh yesss remember the customer service! The bugs can be a pain in the bum, but I'll bet you 10-1 I'll never find a shoe up there again.

You know why OpenLife land is cheap? Because it's a developing world with no economy. They need people to buy land and expand their world, but right now there's no way for people to recoup that investment. So the land is cheap so people will do it anyway. What's going to happen when the economy ramps up and people can start making money?

Look, I know you're upset and all....
