Jack and LL missed the boat - a week late and an apology short

Another day to wait for what? A solution to the OS price hike? Will that be the salve to soothe the underlying outrage caused by the insensitivity LL has shown to its customers?

To the loyal customers who made SL what it is, an apology from LL would have worked wonders and could have been completed in 5 minutes and posted a week ago.

"Things" come and go in this life, as this OS change will fade from memory too. However, humans remember the emotional, feeling, aspect more than they remember "things."

There are many brilliant people, and a few of world reputation, who populate SL. But somehow the pleas from those people, and us "little" folks, are ignored, and the LL emphasis is focused solely on the OS matter and how those bits and bytes are abused by the customer. Wow! Such a trivial matter for LL to focus on at the risk of its public image.

I find this absolutely astounding that the human element has been completely ignored in this debacle. There is no excuse for this behavior, other than LL does not understand the need to respect its customers.

I think the communication tomorrow will include the promise to kiss us first next time and use some Vaseline. They sure haven't done either with any of their statements this past week.

My bet is that legal is on vacation and they'll be back tomorrow so it can be released.

In "my perfect world", LL would have taken better care BEFORE releasing such a callous and so obviously flawed edict as they did last week. They would have spent time researching and TALKING with us, most preferably explaining the situation to us months ago when it came to light, and asking us what how we and they should proceed together.

LL has fully embraced the "us vs them" Ivory Tower philosophy of software development. Don't work with the customer to solve their problems, but instead make whatever without customer input and foist it on them; "here ya are! Just want you wanted!".

It seems for all they try to pretend otherwise we are simply binary codes to the people over at Linden Labs - they are looking at this as just a game SO I have an idea..to pay for the rate increases - as this is just a game- lets pay in Monopoly money!!

What a great idea! would sure save me some monthly credit card interest!!!
