you don't have to prove your age. All you have to do is have Payment Information on File...a credit card or PayPal account.

Unfortunately, some Estate Region owners are designating their regions as adult, AND also clicking on the box for age verification. The latter clicking automatically disallows anyone, even if they have payment record used or on account, but haven't yet been age verified. I know of at least 3 regions so far that have made this mistake.

Neither age verification nor account verification is compulsory.

You must be account verified in order to access Adult Content in search or to visit regions with an Adult maturity rating. You must be Age Verified in order to visit parcels where the owner has flagged the parcel as allowing access only to age verified residents.

cristal, are your credit card international? Remember that the majority of CC's in Brazil are accepted only here. To use with PayPal or LL you need an international one.

Anyway, I was one of the first to try de verification method when it was launched by LL. My data where consistently refused. Sudenly, last month, the same data where succesfull in verification. It seems that they have updated their data bank recently. Try again.

As I said contact LL personally be it by email or phone call.

This is absolute BS. First, we were told that if you had payment info on file that counted as age verification. Now, we're being asked to supply SS numbers, or driver's license numbers, etc., to become "truly" age verified. No, I will NOT be supplying that info over the internet. Not to mention, the new "adult" sim island is laggy, laggy, laggy. This 2.5 year SL member is about to bolt...

Only if you want to get into sims run by people who can't read, or at least can't comprehend what they read.

I'll send an email to the sl complaining about my condition because I can not believe they do not allow me to play because of lack of credit card!

Well, one of these sims I was referring to above is run by an Italian, and he has done a very good job of running his sims, up until now. But when we consider that even English speaking people are very confused about this whole issue, how can we expect those whose native tongue is something other than English to sort through this quagmire mess that LL has left us with?

Once again, you do NOT have to age verify to access adult content in SL.

You must be "account verified" to do so. To "account verify", you can EITHER have payment info on file, OR use the age verification process.

Some landowners do not understand this, and have set their parcels to "allow access by Age Verified accounts only". This a) does NOT automatically allow them to have Adult Content on their parcel, and b) severely limits their potential customer base. Age verification is, basically, a failed policy which has never worked correctly for a lot of people.
