Heart Breaking.

Now Honestly. I didnt care to much about the price of Open spaces going up. Its called Inflation. price will always go up. Its inevitable. But there is one particular story that touched my heart and realy brought tears to my eyes. A woman I recently met Found love on SL. And the woman she fell in love with on SL went out to meet her. The were so in love they were married. And for a time they were very happy together. A woman, who's name I will not announce unless she chooses to post a reply to this, Recently lost That wife of 2 years. While her wife was stil alive she bought her an Open Space. And In a show of her love, she terraformed a message of love into the land For her. This to me is the most romantic thing anyone could ever do. But it breaks my heart. Cause I heard her Crying her eyes out. When she learned about the price of her tier going up to double the price, because with her struggling finances she will not be able to keep the land. And the thought of losing the only thing she has left of her true love Tears her apart. This brings tears to my eyes. I dont think its fair that a woman like her should have to suffer because the LL wants to feed its greedy pockets. Noone is harming anything by using Open spances to make a small club, house, or store. they are still limited to only 3700 prims. which limits thier ability to expand to big anyway. But in a case like this. where she isnt using the land for a store. or for a club. she is holding it dear as a symbol of her love and devotion to her Dead wife. It really bothers me that she will lose her land to the Hands of Corporate Greed.

So in sumation. I would like to start a fund raiser to help raise money to allow her to keep her open space. I am already going to donate $L10,000 to a tipjar for all funds to go to her keeping her land. I know theres a lot of greedy people out there... but Come on... Its Christmas Season. With as many people who play SL. if everone gave as little as $L10 a month. she could keep her land and not have to lose the only thing she has left of her love. I will do my part to see this person not cry any more tears durring the Holiday season.

I.e. if it's the terraformed land that's the issue then there is no reason why it can't stay at the original tier.... but in any case I assume she doesn't own a full island so this OS is owned by someone else that can pack up and leave at a moments notice anyway regardless, so there are no guarantees.

Good point Ee, no reason she can't keep it as an OS.

Angel's story says her wife bought her an OS sim, so my guess is, she does own it.

But she can only own a OS sim if she also owns a full island.

No you don't own it,i "bought " my OS for $500 before the price went down,i say i own it but i don't really even tho i paid for it.i just rent it
She can have the estate owner apply to have it converted into the new OS,that way it will stay at $75
Of course thats assuming they have'nt built a lot of stuff on the island,if so much of it will have to be removed to adhere to the 750 prim limit

Ask the estate owner for a raw file of the sim. That way if she does lose it - and when/if if finance get better - she can recreate it.
