Protesters who are doing nothing more than standing at the welcome center wearing signs that read "save our open space sims" are finding themselves being involuntarily logged out of SL for an hour or more. Now THAT is definitely a Linden Lab violation of the TOS.

Now THAT is definitely a Linden Lab violation of the TOS. I cannot prove now, if that is true, but if so: Standing at a welcome center with this sign in the hand is not supposed to be forbidden by ToS, BigSix or Community Standards. Does the Governance Team really bans people without reason in their own LL laws? Umm, that's really bad. They don't talk, they ban ... that destroys a lot of trust. |

Under section 4.1, probably..
4.1 You agree to abide by certain rules of conduct, including the Community Standards and other rules prohibiting illegal and other practices that Linden Lab deems harmful. ... (viii) interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to the Service; If the protest, even if it's peaceful, prevents other people from getting to the Linden-owned welcome area and using SL, it sounds like it's the protesters that are in violation of the TOS by intefering with The Service. _____________________

Considering all the other stuff that goes on in Welcome Areas, this does seem to be a bit silly... But... I guess all the signs and such can be considered visual spam. Plus, word is, a lot of their chat is not fitting of the PG guidelines. "F*** Linden Lab" anyone? (=_=)

When did this happen? Are teens now allowed on the Main Grid? I'm just going by the tone of a lot of the posts around here.. LL has said nothing about merging the grids. /me thinks she will avoid this sub-forum for a while, Maybe. I seem to be getting a little snippy. Maybe more than a little. _____________________
