I have used second life on a couple of other computers, but find myself unable to launch second life whatsoever on my best, main, home computer. When I launch Second Life, the widow (actually two windows) open, with a completely transparent center, that is only the title bars and window frame show. It requires an end task to kill the application. I have uninstalled/reinstalled several times, updated my graphic card drivers from the manufacturer to the most recent version, and everything else I can think of. Unfortunately, no one seems to have this same problem/behavior documented anywhere. My system should be completely compatible, and the specs are provided below. If anyone has any ideas I'd truly and greatly appreciate any tips, tricks, or pointers to any support references for this problem. Windows Vista Ultimate, SP1 - 32 Bit Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, 3.0 Ghz 4 GB RAM Nvidia GeForce 9600GT (driver version 7.15.11.8048 11/12/200

Hi Zaron, There appears to be some compatibility issues between the more recent editions of the Second Life viewer and recent nvidia GeForce drivers. Two recommended workarounds in order of ease; Download an alternative viewer (I found Nicholaz suited my purposes; more information at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Alternate_viewers); or uninstall the drivers for your graphic card and install an earlier driver (you will have to keep going back until you find one that works). The only computer I have trouble with Second Life is on my Vista quad with a GeForce 8600GT. The older less advanced computers are fine. HTH
