It looks like the current Open Sim structre, 3750 prim etc is going to be called a Homestead sim and will eventually cost $125 a month. The intention being this will provide for sub division etc.
I have a question on this, who will be able to buy these? Will it still be restricted to estate and full sim owners, or is this going to be introduced as a budget alternative to everyone to buy directly from LL?

Per the new knowledge base article, you still need to own a Private region to buy an Openspace or Homestead. So if you're renting, you'll probably be looking at $150 or more a month. https://support.secondlife.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=4417&task=knowledge&questionID=5650

That's a shame. I'd have no problem paying the $125 a month, not much more than I currently pay anyway. It's the mark up on top that concerns me.
Maybe estate owners etc can start letting their renters know what their prices will be so we can make informed decisions.
