Please delete all the post advertising other Virtual Worlds

Hello mods, please delete the forum posts that advertise other Virtual Worlds, I don't see how they are relevant to this discussion, and frankly watching those vultures post is kind of distracting.

At this point they are very relevant. Every step like this LL takes is crossroads for a user, and it is helpful to us if people point out other paths. A LOT of people are making their minds up about things, and we can't really make educated decisions about whether to stay or go without understanding the pros and cons.

LL is saying "What are you gonna do, leave? *snort*". Well, if they are daring us to leave, other options give us the resources to make that decision.

This isn't just about openspaces for a lot of us. LL's disinterest in upgrading the appearance of avatars after this many years is one thing that annoys me. LL has worked themselves into a corner with SL. They will have a great deal of difficulty improving our experience WITHOUT making a lot of people mad. So much of the content already in SL RELIES on the original bugs and bad design.

So, i have no problems with people pointing out other options. I am not stuck here by any means. For the last year it has been a constant chain of LL yanking the rug out from under users with little warning or help with the transition. Casinos, banks, mainland advertising, yadda yadda. It isn't the fact that the changes were necessary, rather they didn't at all attempt to help people with the transition, rather they just basically gave us the finger and told us to suck it up.

If they are daring me to leave, I appreciate knowing that there are other places to go.

I think if LL is worried about those posts they know quite well that they exist and would have deleted them by now.

Also, distracting from what? Aside from keeping up with what little feedback LL provides the only thing going on now is people baawwwing and whining. Besides, I'm sure if people want to focus on something they don't need their hand held to find their way.

We all know that if the only thing people can see is good thing that it must mean its good,even if we hide the bad stuff.

Personally, I would like to see a listing of other virtual worlds..... Hey, that is what capitalism is all about. LL is betting that none of us will get together and sue their sorry ass for running a con game. If they were not, then they would not say "abandon or pay", they would say "I am sorry, if you do not want to renegoatiate what I assured you your costs would be, then here is your money back"

If there was just one other virtual world that even came close to SL, do you really think they would be doing this to us?

Post people, let's see if LL deletes them....then we will REALLY know

People have been posting them for days, in fact they've been posting occassionally for as long as I've been in SL, why should they delete, they know they have a superior product - for now at least.

I expect that you will fit in here perfectly.

In some ways they're an advertisement for Second Life because those other worlds are in the growth stage and simply aren't as good as this platform, so people can go and look and will come back here due to the fact that they are currently inferior.

You arrive in SL in November, 2008 and you know about the OSS issue... how? You have NO clue what is going on here so your thread is way out in left field and obnoxious! Go back to Orientation!

It's against forum Guidelines to post ads for non Second Life goods or services.

Doing so could certainly earn you a suspension or ban.
