If you are a participant in testing the 1.21 Release Candidate:
Residents who were using RC4 will be automatically prompted (required) to upgrade to RC5 when you try to log in. This will let you benefit from the latest bugfixes under consideration for the next version of Second Life, 1.21.

Release Notes for Second Life 1.20.17 Oct 6th, 2008 Security Fixes: * Fixed: File transfer operations are now restricted to files that the user has expressly chosen, and specific directories that the viewer uses for transferring data. Anyone know what this is about? _____________________

There is no official patch for 1.19 from Linden. In order to use a patched 1.19, you will have to use a 3rd party viewer, The Cool Viewer.

There is no official patch for 1.19 from Linden. In order to use a patched 1.19, you will have to use a 3rd party viewer, The Cool Viewer. I've re-installed 1.19.0.5 as my mainstream viewer, which is probably the first step of installing Cool Viewer, but I don't know where to find it. |
