What the heck is a "won't finish" answer as "resolution" to a JIRA report about a feature that works in 1.20 but not in 1.21 anymore? http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8553Not even a reason why an expensive piece of hardware is not supported anymore? Just another example of the fine art of customer relationship at LL? Folks, wake up, WE pay your wages! Taking away something because it just is not possible anymore because of good objective reasons, okay - as long as you at least tell us those reasons. A two word answer in the like of "bad luck" just DOES NOT do it!

From: Daniel Regenbogen What the heck is a "won't finish" answer as "resolution" to a JIRA report... It means they don't think they'll ever do it. I've seen Nyx at Qarls office hour before. Maybe you should track him down and ask (politely) why he shot that issue.

There are many problems with the Jira I don't like, this is one of them, along with resolving an issue as needing more info, that's not resolved either.
People do a lot of hard work on the Jira but responses and resolutions of this nature will put people off from using it in the future.

Just as a clarifying point: when Linden Lab resolves an issue as "Needs more Info" we are actually HOPING that the reporter (or other affected Residents) will re-open the issue, and provide us the additional information. It is not intended as a way to shut down someone's issue, it is just that we don't yet have enough details to begin investigating, so we need to cause JIRA to notify the reporter to come back and update their issue. Sometimes this is as basic of information as: what version of Second Life were you using when you saw the bug?
