Anyone else having problems with the new viewer not letting avatars rez in fully? I worked at a club tonight and at least half of the avatars were either fully invisible, or all I saw was newbie hair, their shoes and a nametag...what is this and how can you fix it?

Once everyone went into appearance, they came in for me, but i can't do that everywhere i go...anyone have any ideas?

I have this same problem. Short of having everyone edit or rebake, I just have to relog. It is especially annoying if I'm in the middle of a test.

Same issues here and then some

Im seeing the same issues with avatars not fully rezzing but also on some huds textures are not rendering correctly. Now the last client seemed pretty stable but being a software QA person myself i cant see these issues were not caught before release.

This remindes me of Beta code.

yep invisable is the new grey, most likely related to the new alpha layer for skins that is already included in the client but not yet active in the skin textures.

I see.. I mean dont see avatars also. Extreme lag as well. Having to redo all my preference settings EVERY log in... the 1.23.4 client stinks. They say its not the client. other people say its not the client also... but then why does the 1.23.4 lag and has all these other issues but the previous client runs flawlessly?

There are several known invisibility bugs for the 1.23.4 viewer, avatars either going invisible in parts when clothing/skin changes, or avatars invisible on first logging in, etc.. Here's two, both have a Linden assigned to them:

How easily we accept bugs.. not little bugs, but obvious and somewhat in your face bugs... I have to ask, is anything tested before being released live anymore?

Its not just the client, but the server code as well. I constantly see warnings of animation, avatar, texture, packets out of order etc etc being reported after any form of 'update'. I keep loosing items from my inventory, despite numerous clearing of cache.

Its hard enough just to exist sometimes in SL, but to do business is virtually impossible.

I have to wonder, will it ever end? So called 'bugs' we have seen many times before, become 'fixed' only to reappear over and over again (think ghost prims and more).

Come on guys, give us a break.
