Since I had to move to the RC viewer (regular will not install) I cannot see any particles that are attached to most, but not all, AVs. Any thoughts, folks? I ws thinking I may have a disabled Advanced setting...

Perhaps it is your setting of the maximum amount of particles you want to see (in Preferences). The highest possible is 8192. SL will always randomly divide the amount of particles you see from nearby sources, to not go over your maximum.

Also, you have to have the emitter within your draw distance to be able to see particles. Perhaps of some avatars you never had the (can be transparant) emitter within your draw distance?

Yup. my particles are turned up and all is well. It is a viewer problem as I CAN see the particles if I switcch to a non-SL viewer. I have compared 2 viewers at the same time, so, it is not that something else is eating up my allotment of particles.
