I wanted to see how sl would work under Windows 7 RC but unfortunately no can do. Apparently sl cant verify the win7 driver for my ATI 2400HD graphics card. Wonder if anyone else has tried it and/or found a work around.

Try downloading the latest Windows 7 driver from ATI instead of whatever MS update installs.

If you're using an AGP card, check with the card's manufacturer to see if they have a driver, or use the Vista driver.

As much as sl hates ati, i'm surprised people still use those cards....btw...windows 7 seems to love sl...i'm running the 64 bit version, and everything seems to be much more stable for some reason

It doesn't ~seem~ to be more stable... It IS more stable. I've been noticing a higher FPS, the ability to run more clients at once. And, It's simply nearly crash free now. Nvidia + Win7x64 + SL = HAPPY! \(^o^)/

I couldn't have said it better myself...now i wonder when they will make an x64 version viewer for windows, i'll bet it would be even more better! :)

If you have installed win7 as new, or over Vista... what you are experiencing is, the greater stability of the OS, not SL.
Vista was the rebirth of ME.. whereby MS use the sales of the 'nearly finished' OS (win 7), call it Vista, to generate more development cash.
I was one of the early adopters here in Europe... right after install, it went off and installed almost 1.7gb of updates. That was before it received its SP1, which btw, was the fastest rollout of a SP in the history of OS's.
MS are getting greedy, look at the IE8... my my, what a bug ridden peice of rubbish that is, and my Updater keeps insisting I'm in mortal danger if I don't install this 'Vital' update. I did install it.. for a day. Its Accelorators are no more than push advertising.
