Some attachment prims turn invisible on zooming in

Is there a known current issue where attachment prims are turning invisible upon zooming in. I have a high prim belt and half disappears when zoomed in close. It seems to affect the same prims each time. A friend has the same issue but reported seeing different prims missing. It seems turning object detail to medium helps but I prefer running SL on high detail. Is there a fix for this?

When the root prim is no longer within the view frustum it isnt rendered, and therefore the child prims may vanish too. Is on the jira somewhere. go vote it to get fixed.
