New Viewer Affecting Appearance of Skin Textures?

I have noticed that the new viewer is causing a "clown-paint" effect on new skins, particularly the cheeks where rouge/blush would be on a crafted skin. This is only happening with certain skins, however. I noticed the same thing happened a few weeks ago when I tested an independent "Shadow Client".

Is the problem related?

This is an issue with the 1.23 viewer. Please go to the JIRA issue and vote for it to be fixed.

You're welcome.

I think I don't need shadows badly enough to have my face turn inside out... I'll stick with the standard viewer. Definitely a showstopper bug.

My skin looked OK with the shadows, apart from the lipstick and eyelashes problems mentioned elsewhere. Possibly not quite as good as with normal WindLight viewer though. But the shadows cast on my body by my arms and on my neck are good.

I too am coming across skin related issues on my avi. (hahaha that sounds funny) along with hair texture issues on other people with this new update.
