I belong to a group of friends that are part owners of a Adult Island and i was wondering if the main payer is sick and can't send in the payment of the month is there away another person in the group can take over sending the payments ?

Hope you have a contract because in the eyes of LL there is only one owner. nope we want no contract,i was hoping the people of LL would allow a group to take over the payments. |

what I have seen before is that Linden Lab will only deal with the original owner, however you should contact Linden Lab direct and request this.

Do you own the island or do you rent?
The difference really comes down to who you pay, if one of you is classed as the owner and pays LL for the island then you (or that person) owns it. If the payments goes to another resident who owns the island, then you rent, in which case you can just contact them and talk to them, they could help you. If you are paying LL directly, then you have a serious problem if the "owner" doesn't have the US$ available in their account or via credit card/paypal come tier day. IF not paid (and its in advance for private islands) the island will do an Atlantis on you. If that happens you can sometimes get LL to temporarily reopen it so you can get your stuff, I know they have done that before for renters who have been caught out by the owner not paying the tier. _____________________

If that happens you can sometimes get LL to temporarily reopen it so you can get your stuff, I know they have done that before for renters who have been caught out by the owner not paying the tier. Yes but when that's requested, only the owner gets notice that the island is reopened, also it's done during USA day time, I asked a owner to ask the Lindens to have a closed island open for me, the only indication I got that it had been reopened was that my Xstreet box that had been left there was reactivated, this was early morning GMT, so I TPd over there expected at least 12 hours to take my stuff back, luckily I grabbed 90% of the stuff within 10 minutes, because after that I was logged out of SL and when I came back the sim had been closed again. |

I've heard of tenants managing to get sims reopened for a short time via support. Not sure exactly how but it has happened.
I think there was someone here on the forum talking a while back about how they got it reopened. Found it: _____________________
