Anyone else having issues with overrides.xml? I cannot get the viewer to read the overrides file I have been using for th epast year and a half to change my font settings so I can see the text contet in the viewer. any work arounds or fixes in the works?

PS. A little more info.. when I did the manidtory update for the RC client to 1.23 it litterally over wrote the overrides file right out so I had to re add it and the client is not accessing it anymore.. I really need to be able to use that overrides in order to adjust the UI fonts so I can see.

I've never known what the overrides.xml file does. What does it do? What creates it? Where is stored?

The debug settings for fonts have been orphaned, the new place to edit is in the application folder, skins/default/xui/en-us/fonts.xml -- size values are at the bottom. You still need to relog to make the changes take. From: SuezanneC Baskerville I've never known what the overrides.xml file does. What does it do? What creates it? Where is stored? It's an "extra" copy of settings_per_account.xml that you can create manually (and it goes into that same per-avatar folder). It doesn't get loaded automatically (only from the advanced menu), but it does have the nice advantage that viewer updates don't try to overwrite it. |
