Forum is a latin world, foro in italian means "hole" E con quei Fori Romani, che ci facciamo adesso? So what would you call it? I just looked at an online Italian dictionary (so I can't guarantee its quality) but it gives "hole" as the primary meaning, and "forum" (in this sense) and "tribunale" (law court) as secondary meanings. .

. Right, you can translate forum with foro, but you loose the real meaning: I think that Forum, used in internet, must be Forum in all the languages. Or do you think that in italian it's better to use "connessione alla rete esterna" instead of internet? Oberon

Mi sembra giusto, ma non essendo italiana, non posso giudicare. Mi chiedo - scherzando - cosa fanno i francesi. Non vogliono nemmeno l'ombra delle parole straniere.
