If LL is going to take control of the site, maybe they will, if they can, change the name back to SL Exchange or SLX.

That name was much more catchy, memorable and associated with SL. Who ever change it in the first place should have been fired. In my opinion it was a dumb idea.

Most people refer to it as SLX anyways even it been a good while since they changed the name. Xstreet... stupid name too....

There were a couple of reasons for the name change at the time, which was to comply better with Linden Labs' trademark policy and it matches up with the account that manages the site's L$(Exchange Street). It wasn't a dumb idea, in my opinion, but it wouldn't matter much if they reverted the name. What's more important is how much they'll change the site's look, feel and functionality. I'd personally love to see Shop OnRez's seller tools, bulk editing and "storefront" features implemented on SLX/XStreetSL.

I agree with all of you except "XST is as catchy as SLX".

SLX seems to flow better off the tongue

Besides, like Motor said, most of us still refer to it as SLX.

It's hard to build a business just off it's name but if the name is already recognized, might as well take advantage of it!

And yes Antonius, I'm waiting to see the "improvements" LL will make as well.

I vote for SL Exchange and slex as the nickname.

We need to have the slexchange / sexchange typos, it's a tradition.

I vote we rename Xstreet "SL Marketplace" and we rename the combined Lindex/SLX Currency Exchange to "SL Currency Exchange"

I thought they changed to xstreetSL because there were going to be different sites for different grids, all called xstreet with something on the end to distinguish them. Don't know where I got that idea, but I guess that isn't an issue with LL owning it, so going back to slexchange would make sense.

Actually, I think it's both. Didn't manage to expand into other worlds though.
