I really didn't want to post anything here, but since I'm getting bored about people complaining loosing some items, I have to. After the last two 1.15 updates my sim is completely fucked up. I'm paying now for a service, that isn't worth it's money, because the only answer I get is we don't know why this happens.
My proposals/questions are now:
1.) Patch deployment/evaluation:
The poor patching of software bugs and it's deployment to the sim always render the whole sim on patch days unusable and instable.
Why do we have a beta grid, if patches are not evaluated there? If they can't be evaluated there, open a second beta grid.
Reading in the blog that patches have been tested in world and are working fine makes me laugh. Yeah, the group IM patch worked, but it did have also another impact which is now the next Group IM bug - a neverending story.
2.) Put a time limit on free accounts:
All the database issues put up the question to limit the inv size. I can really understand, that LL needs the high number of registered users for marketing purposes, but the only improvement can be a time limit on free accounts and have them pay afterwards or be deleted. That's a good way to reduce the database, not an inv limit.
3.) Give better tools for sim debugging.
The answer: 'Unknown reason' is insufficient for somebody who's paying a lot for a sim, if it's rendered instable, swallows items or crashes repeatedly.
4.) Fix the real bugs before putting new features:
As we see, each update and new feature worsens the situation in world. As a service provider LL should first concentrate on fixing the elementary functions before putting features which will introduce new bugs. It cannot be that i have to write bug reports about elementary sim management functions, while others adore new features that will be implemented in SL. I really want these features, too, but not in a state like this. Who needs sculpted prims if they don't rez?
