Second Life puts a very high premium on user creation and ownership, yet seems to do nothing of worth when it comes to spontaneous inventory loss.
When will this change? Has Linden yet to develop a fair policy regarding loss of stuff? Or is it the same old "Buyer Beware" TOS baloney?
I have lost stuff, a good expensive amount, and have found no support, received barely a response even, and all I have seen of late to address it is a list of lame things to do in case of loss.
I say lame, because often, you don't know that something is gone at first, have no idea how it happened, so how are you supposed to report that? When large sections of my inventory just vape, without even being rezzed, why is it so hard for Linden to set up a system to help assuage the loss, rather than just blow over it?
I paid Linden Labs and the object creators money for stuff. Linden crashed and my stuff went away.
Who's responsibility is that?
