Are Abuse Reports being ignored?

I have submitted a few abuse reports, mostly for things like indecent content and such (e.g. porn) , and have yet to EVER see any of them listed in the incident report log, nor have the problems ever been fixed. I can only assume that the ARs went ignored.

Also, someone I know in RL (who introduced me to SL) filed an AR for disclosure of personal information, and that seems to have been ignored as well.

It seems that LL cares more about someone playing with a bubble wand than they care about serious privacy issues.

What kind of message is it when you get a ruler on the knuckles (for those who remember Catholic schools) for just being immature, but if you expose other peoples RL information, well, thats OK, nothing gets done.

"Wink, wink. Nod, nod. Nothing to see here folks, just move along."

I see three right now... One for Mature content in PG region and two for [Sexual] Age Play... Are you ARing "mature" content in (mature) regions? (o.o)

Sometimes your AR doesn't show up until the following day...and in some cases, several days afterwards. I suppose it depends on the backlog of reports that they have to sift through.

Not long ago I AR'd a person who spammed my IM box with rude and abusive language, and then copied it and pasted 25 times over. The result didn't show up until the next day, but the person was suspended for 3 days. *wewtmuhahahaha*

Many times actions taken by LL on an AR are not apparent and specifics of Abuse Reports are never discussed by LL or members of the GTeam. I’ve seen people try to get info out of them and they just wont do it. And sometimes there are so many ARs that not all of them appear on the Police Blotter or they may not be there when you look. So, even though you may not have seen any apparent actions taken or can correlate something on the blotter with an AR you filed, doesn’t meant that things are being ignored.
That’s a shame about your friend. RL discloser sucks and is serious so if your friend hasn’t gotten satisfactory results maybe have them AR again.

It's really important to remember that the person reading the AR probably has no idea who you are or who the person you're AR'ing is or any previous history between you two.

They can also see the real chat logs from the sim so if you're quoting chat in the AR, it's a _really_ good idea to not embellish anything.

This isn't at all a comment that you filed the AR incorrectly, Barbara. Just some tips that I've heard from the Linden governance people.

Thanks for all the replies so far.

I understand that the Gteam can go look at logs, but the question is how far back?
Do they keep them for a month? A year? In one case I know of, a month would not be enough, because parts of the chat happened before that.

The AR has so little room for text it is very difficult to explain what was behind everything in some of the more complex (and serious) situations.

As for checking, I do check very often, because the incident report is oh, so limited.
It would be nice if it allowed you to scroll back, say 25 at a time, until you reached the ones you were interested in. Showing only the last 25 means the list can get flushed 2 or 3 times a day.
