After looking around for about an hour I finally decided that it is impossible to reach anyone to complain about something in SL. SO here I am in this foru to let off steam.

I wanted to complain about the security system that I encountered in Horizons. I was interested in looking at apartments to rent but everywhere I went I ran into the GD security system. If they don't want customers just put up and sign and say so - but don't ask me to become a resident and then kick me out when I come to look. Screw them. I'll take my Lindens somewhere else!

It's NOT Homeland Security - it's SL! Jeez how much security do you need????

Hello Will Direwytch, I am the sim owner for Horizons. 80-90% of our rentals come with security orbs and this is a fairly standard practice in the rental business since we offer both furnished and unfurnished rentals. Due to our popularity, we occasionaly have freeloaders, etc... that like to use our furnished rentals for their "personal" needs and to avoid this, we employ security orbs. Myself and my Sim Manager are inworld daily and are easily distinguished as management by the signs located at the main teleport zone to all who visit (Stone Wood). I looked at your profile and realize you are fairly new to SL and do apologize for being "kicked" around, but we do have an obligation to protect our renters. Simply staying on the paths, should avoid the orbs. If you choose to re-visit, please feel free to click either of our signs, if we are online, to page us for assistance.

Sincerely,
Echo Uba
