Many people are reporting multiple crashes when they start SL following the update.

Not only does SL crash, but the CPU maxes out making a hard reboot with a crash exit compulsory - in short the computer crashes too. Is anyone on the LL team looking at this issue for us?

From what I've seen it's been happening on "older" pentium machines running Open GL 1.4.x so it's very likely a driver issue, have you tried grabbing an updated set of video drivers?

The problems started with 1.14 for me. I have a Quadro FX540 and it crashes after a few minutes or so. I just lowered some graphic details (these slider things) and everything went fine here. Oh yes. And I disabled VBO as mentioned in this article: http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=443
